Heart Shaped Sweet Potato Auction: No bids so far

Here’s a new auction of a heart shaped sweet potato. This seller I am sure is hoping this sweet potato will be the next eBay food item that sells for a good chunk of cash. Last week, as we reported here, a corn flake shaped like Illinois sold for over $1,300.

Now, there is a sudden discovery of amazing? food items shaped like something. Makes me wat to go check out my kitchen and see what I can find, but whenever I do that I end up eating my great discoveries. Just a couple days ago I ate a pickle that had an image etched into the skin that was an exact repleca of a scene from Forrest Gump. You know the part where he meets President Johnson? Yep, this pickle would have been worth millions, but I lost concentration and ate it instead of posting it on eBay.

Monkey Skull Necklace Auction: really weird

OK, this is a weird auction for sure. A Monkey skull necklace. That’s not something you see often in the local mall. Here’s how the seller describes the skull:

“This is an unbleached monkey skull from the Peruvian Amazon rainforest , totally authentic. I personally brought this back from Peru. I personaly obtained this skull from a Shaman from an indigenous amazon tribe known as the Shipibo’s. It’s hand painted by a Shipibo artist with the black sap of a particular tree (I forgot the name of the tree), with the ancient Shipibo matrix design which is mean’t to give people good luck and protection. The eyes and nose are filled with seeds from that particular type of tree , giving it a unigue look, like it has eyes! the Shipibo tie the lower jaw to the upper jaw with their special string. There is a red seed visible on the bottom picture that is woven to these strings. There is an narrow bone on one side that is part of the whole skull. that part is missing on the other side. On the underneath side of the skull, there looks like a little piece that is broken off which is fairly consistant with these types of collectables. Basically, it is hidden underneath, out of site. The skull has a chain attached for wearing or hanging up. the chain is made up of natural seeds, wood , six red seeds, and a couple of other natural decorations.”

So, this is an actual monkey skull piece of art. Here’s a photo:

Just imagine what a stir you would make wearing this necklace to your next social gathering.

Actually, all kidding aside I kind of like it.

OK, there was the recent, March 21st, sale of a cornflake shaped like Illinois that sold on eBay for $1,300. Well, now somebody took the cornflake and made a photo with Barack Obama having his ears replaced by the now famous cornflake. Below is the auction. Update: The auction ended so it’s not posted here. I would have copied the photo but there was a specific warning saying “do not copy photo”. So, you’ll have to use your imagination on this one. Sorry about that. From now on I won’t post an auction where they won’t let you copy the photo.
